MBA (Information Technology and Management)

RESEARCH STUDIES:

PhD in APPLICATION OF SOFT COMPUTING TECHNIQUES IN FORECASTING,

The research work is aimed at achieving a robust financial forecast with much improved accuracy using different soft computing techniques. Although, different soft computing techniques and their combinations are used for electrical load forecasting but these techniques are seldom used for financial forecasting. The objective of this work is application of different soft computing techniques in financial forecasting and arriving at the technique that gives most accurate result. To achieve the objective following is the work plan:

  1. Selection of the application and collection of relevant data.
  2. Identification of dependent parameters.
  3. Forecasting using different kind of neural networks.
  4. Combining fuzzy logic with neural networks for forecasting.
  5. Genetic neural network will be used for the same.
  6. Ultimately genetic, fuzzy techniques will be combined with neural networks for forecasting.
  7. Comparison of their performance with one another.
